Storm Damage

Severe thunderstorms on Thursday resulted in some property damage in the Rockbridge County area.

The storms featured high winds and heavy rain.

A straight-line wind event damaged a cinder block dugout at Rockbridge County High School.
High winds, at roughly 60 miles per hour, also knocked down trees and limbs near the Virginia Horse Center.
