Buena Vista City Council has asked City Manager Tim Dudley to resign, effective July 29. Council-members say they want find a City Manager with extensive expertise in municipal government. Council requested Dudley's resignation in order to initiate a nationwide search for a candidate.
The city and the Buena Vista Park Authority has also reached an agreement with ACA Financial Guaranty Corp. to handle bond payments in connection with Vista Links municipal golf course and its nearly $10 million debt. Under the forbearance agreement, ACA will assume half of the $660,000 payments for five years. At that point, the city and Park Authority will carry the full financial burden.
