The Democratic candidate for governor, Terry McAuliffe, has a
double-digit lead over Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the race for governor,
according to a new poll released by The Washington Post.
McAuliffe leads Cuccinelli 51-39 percent. Libertarian Robert
Sarvis got 8 percent.
McAuliffe also has a sizeable lead over Cuccinelli
in fund-raising. At last report, McAuliffe had $1.6 million on hand compared to
Cuccinelli’s $604,163. The numbers are from the Virginia Public Access Project,
a nonpartisan tracker of money in politics.
