Arrest in Lynchburg Vandalism

Lynchburg police have arrested 21-year-old Jessica McCrickard and charged her with one misdemeanor count of destruction of property and a misdemeanor count of petit larceny, in connection with the recent vandalism of the World War I statue at Monument Terrace.
Lynchburg Police say McCrickard was cooperating with authorities in their efforts to recover the missing bayonet from the Doughboy memorial, which was discarded in the James River.
